Natural antibiotics for cardiovascular diseases

Did you know that you can combat cardiovascular diseases naturally i.e. by using natural ingredients? If you are one of those people suffering from cardiovascular disease, it is probably caused by unhealthy lifestyle. If you are a victim you need not look further than your kitchen counter (or the local supermarket) to find plenty of natural antibiotics in herbs and spices which can help you fight the disease effectively. Of course if you are have a severe case of heart disease than you must consult with your doctor or dietitian. But in most cases your health care giver will recommend natural ingredients in your diet.

  • Garlic : Garlic – nature’s most powerful antibiotic – can be used for treating so many illness starting from common cold to bacterial infections. This spice is your hearts best friend especially if you are suffering from high blood pressure. It contains powerful antioxidants (In French les antioxydants) Garlic has been used for lowering cholesterol since ages. It also fights virus, bacteria and yeast. It can be eaten raw or in the form of a capsule. You can even mash it and garnish your curry.

  • Echinacea: Echinacea is another excellent natural antibiotic and a lot similar to garlic in its characteristics, as in, it is anti-inflammatory and anti-viral. It helps the body to strengthen its immune system thereby helping the body to stay healthy and fight all kinds of diseases.

  • Ginger: Ginger is another natural antibiotic. It helps to lower cholesterol and it is believed that eating a bit of it raw will keep heart attacks at bay.

  • Green tea: Green tea is believed to have a soothing effect on the body and strengthen the immune system because of its antioxidant properties. It has been proven that regular use of green tea over a period of time makes one more healthy and less prone to various diseases, including heart problems. It has a direct positive impact in lowering LDL cholesterol and hyper tension.

  • Lemon grass: Lemongrass is the new buzzword in the world of herbs and spices. Though not as popular as garlic and plants like Echinacea, Lemon grass is fast gaining popularity because of its many benefits in treating several diseases and illnesses including cardiovascular disease symptoms(In French cardiaque symptome). It can be simply dried and drank as tea.

  • Aloe-Vera: More laboratory tests and research is needed to prove that this plant is beneficial for treating cardiovascular diseases. But at the same time, it is a fact that aloe-vera is indeed a wonder drug, consisting of more than 250 ingredients and used for treating numerous ailments. My take on aloe-vera is that even though direct benefits for heart disease have not been ascertained yet, it is definitely beneficial for the body as a whole and will surely be for the heart and blood vessels in one way or the other.
